Bangalore houses many eateries in its territory that not only offer local dishes but also serve dishes from world cuisines. The chefs try to imitate the same process during the making and create a foreign dish with a local touch of their own. They ensure that their customers are satisfied by the end of the meal. From Chinese to Italian, almost every eatery can be found in Bangalore. Amongst these, American cuisines have recently gained popularity among food connoisseurs.
Since I am a big foodie, trying American delicacies in Bangalore was always there on my mind. So, when I went for a tour last month, I decided to explore the American restaurants in Bangalore during the weekends. Since I stay in Pune, I booked my flight ticket from one of the Pune to Bangalore flights available online and visited there on a Friday. As decided, I went ahead with the plan the next day and these are the famous American restaurants I visited to quench my desire for American delicacies.

Truffles are one of the best places to try American dishes. If you do not want to splurge much, then this place is just for you. Here, you can try several variations of burgers, steaks, cheesy fries, sandwiches and relish them at your own pace. Besides, you can also try their crispy lucy sandwich with Ferrero rocher milkshake to kick start your lazy American breakfast. The place is also famous for its widespread buffet on weekends and also for the lucrative deals that it offers on several American menus. For those who love extra cheesy dishes, can grab an All-American Cheeseburger and savour them till satisfied. What’s more? The spicy noodles and pasta available here are also incredibly good in taste. If you want scrumptious and savoury dishes for your weekend breakfast, then head to Truffles without any miss. Trust me, this place is too good to skip.
Boondock Bistro
Located at Whitefield, Boondock Bistro is my favourite to spend a quiet evening with family and friends. Here, you can relax and unwind yourself listening to the old classics and jazz while having a delicious meal at the cafe. The restaurant has a pleasant ambience and is the most preferred choice for all food connoisseurs. Also known as Boonies, this cafe provides a plethora of delectable food options that will make you confused about includeswhich to order and which to not. However, their tempting Moroccan lamb kebabs and honey chili potato are a must-try here and you should definitely savour them on your visit. Besides, you can also enjoy an exquisite American meal combo at Boondock Bistro after a daylong trip to the city. For the afternoon, you can try their spiced lemonade twister to digest your savoury meal. If you ask me, all these dishes are delicious but I personally liked their farmhouse chicken burger, roast lamb and crispy potato sandwich, grilled spicy pork sausages more. The restaurant provides a warm welcome to its guests and you will also be quite impressed by their hospitality and reasonable food pricing.
Chili’s American Grill Bar
If there is one place that you should not miss for an American food tour, then this is the one. Chili’s American and Bar serve authentic American meals to their guests. They have an eclectic menu that include loaded chicken bites, cajun club chicken sandwiches and famous Texas cheese pop. Besides, this restaurant is also famous for serving Philadelphia melting cheesesteak that includes baked tenderloin, stuffed with onions, queso and mushrooms. With its alluring American delicacies, Chili’s is a popular restaurant to visit with your near and dear ones. You must also try Chili’s signature, Fajitas to give a blissful American flavour to your palette. Owing to its huge demand during weekends, it is better to reserve the table before visiting this eatery. Almost all the preparations are top-notch and are served with great perfection.
The Only Place
The Only Place, situated at Church Gate in Bangalore, is a small restaurant that serves great American food. It is popular for its amazing burgers and lip-smacking steaks that make it an ideal place if you are craving American dishes. The rustic vibes of this cafe along with well-decorated interiors with modern lights make it one of the best places to chill with friends. Besides American dishes, here, you can also taste their seafood delicacies such as grilled fish, Zumbo prawns with sauce and fish sticks which are equally good and will take your taste buds on a paradisiacal voyage. I recommend you to try out their famous apple pie for dessert as well since it is one of the best in the city.
